The new Amelia Earhart Hangar Museum celebrates its grand opening on Friday, April 14. The centerpiece of the state-of-the-art museum is Muriel - the world's last remaining Lockheed Electra 10-E. Named after Amelia's younger sister, Muriel is identical to the plane Amelia flew on her final flight. Surrounding Muriel are 14 interactive exhibit areas that take visitors on a journey through Amelia's life - from growing up in Atchison, Kansas, to the height of her worldwide fame. The Amelia Earhart Hangar Museum is open Wednesday through Saturday, 10 a.m. - 5 p.m. CST, and Sunday, 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. CST. - Submitted by Vanessa Bonavia
