One of the few 1931 airports with a WWII style hangar. There's a separate new terminal pilot lounge, 100LL and hard to find 94 octane, aircraft maintenance, glider activity most summer weekends, and a small golf course next door. Fly in, phone Schuler's 1 mile away and they'll pick you up in a matter of minutes.
A classy restaurant pub with a broad menu and indoor or outdoor dining. And right across street is the National House Inn - the oldest bed and breakfast in MI, with a view of the famous circle water fountain color display at night. Take a couple hours to explore the quaint downtown shops, or take a carriage ride to view the historic homes, and come back to Schuler's for a ride back to the airport.
There's also a couple courtesy bikes in the pilot lounge if you just want to ride down to Dark Horse Brewery about a quarter mile from the airport. The city's a spectacular majesty of lights at Christmastime. - Submitted by Michael
