Museum of WWII and contemporary warbirds. The Texas Air Museum is a dedicated group of volunteers devoted to restoring, preserving, and sharing the history of military aviation. From retelling the stories of past military aviators to flying and maintaining the Museum's many airworthy exhibits, the Texas Air Museum's members each provide a valuable service to educating future generations about the adventures and sacrifices of the pioneers who helped bring aviation to where it is today.
The Museum's faithful volunteers range in age from 11 to 83. The Caprock Chapter or The Texas Air Museum is located on the NE corner of the Slaton Municipal Airport (F49). The museum is open on most Saturdays. For group tours on other days of the week, please contact the Museum at 806-828-4664. Several weeks' notice is requested. - Submitted by Sandy
