Grand Rivers, KYPatti's 1880's Settlement Restaurant - Grand Rivers, KY

Brian at the Chamber of Commerce in Grand Rapids, Kentucky coordinated a wonderful day for our group of 7. We met the mayor and received a personal tour of the town. The food at Patti's 1880's Restaurant should not be missed, especially the 2 inch pork chops and incredible desserts. Great shopping for the ladies in the settlement behind the restaurant. Golf and a marina are available. The State Park has lodging, but we only landed and did not stay or eat at the Park. A visit to the town was a perfect day trip! - Submitted by Beth Meares

Le Relais Restaurant - Louisville, KY

Bistro Le Relais is known as the best French restaurant in the area. Anthony Dike also has built an incredible wine list, achieving several Wine Spectator awards. You can park on the ramp right behind the restaurant and walk in. Great for special occasions. - Submitted by Michael Graham

London-Corbin Airport - London, KY

Airport is in town with hotels and other restaurants nearby. Some of the country's best lakes are located within a few miles including Laurel and Cumberland. Cumberland Falls is a few miles south, the world's only moonbow you will see outside of Africa. KFC started here, but you'll be happier at the Hangar Restaurant judging landings. Nice big 150 foot wide runway stretches almost 6,000 feet. - Submitted by Tim Campbell

Moonlite BBQ - Owensboro, KY

Flying into Owensboro to eat at Moonlite BBQ and they will send a courtesy car to get you. It is only minutes away and the food is great. Also a great airport to fly into with all the instrument approaches available. - Submitted by Nick

Off the Hoof - Mayfield, KY

Mayfield Graves Airport is a really great place to fly into. The airport manager Brent is great, and everyone I have run into there has been very helpful and friendly. They have a nice newer Dodge minivan courtesy car, the FBO is modern, clean and well equipped with lounge, kitchen, bathrooms, pilot room, etc. The fuel is self serve with CC and accessible 24/7. Off the Hoof is a butcher shop nearby that serves some of the best 1/2 lb burgers I have ever had along with slaw, salads, chips and drinks. There are a lot of other restaurants and hotels nearby, making it a great place to stop. - Submitted by Hank Konzelmann

Queen of Sheba -Authentic Ethiopian Cuisine - Louisville, KY

Ethiopian Cusine, spicy or mild. This is a great little hole in the wall restaurant. Took my fiance there and she absolutely fell in love with it. Fly into Bowman Field, KLOU and it is across the street on the west end of the airport. I would highly recommend having your dinner served traditional style, makes for great fun and conversation. Enjoy! - Submitted by Brian Derby
